DESCRIPTION:9:30 AM – Visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. 302 Tortuga, Lane, Surf City.\nThe center’s mission is 1) to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sea turtles, 2) to educate the public about threats to these creatures, 3) to offer experiential learning opportunities.\nMinimum of ten people. Prices are as follows: Adults are $7.50 including tax, seniors (62+) are $6.40 with tax.\nFollowing the turtle hospital tour, we will visit the Missiles and More Museum in Topsail Beach. 720 Channel Blvd. No fee.The building, constructed 1946, was used by the government to assemble missiles for a secret missile operation being conducted on Topsail Island.\nAfter the museum we will enjoy lunch at a local waterfront restaurant in Surf City.\nI suggest we Meet in Hampstead at the Food Lion Parking Lot on Hwy 17N, departing there at 9 a.m. \nFinal numbers for the tour are due by April 30th, along with a deposit. I will pay the $50 deposit.
