President’s Message – December 2025

Hi CFMC Members –

Happy Thanksgiving to all!  I hope you were able to share the holiday with friends and family.  Judy and I made the trek to Maryland to spend some time with family. We did not take the Miata since it would have been a very uncomfortable eight hours of driving in heavy traffic with a dog. Driving home on Sunday, we had much less traffic and a more pleasant ride.

With more holiday days to come, we still need to remember that our annual holiday party is coming up in January, and we will be having our election of new club officials. I have not heard recently from our nominating committee, but I hope we have candidates for the open positions of President and Activities Committee Chair. While the President’s position is important, the Activities Chairperson can really make a large difference in encouraging different outings and events.

As to the holiday party, we are looking at a change in the venue. With the club membership growing, we are out-growing the upper level of Circa. Gina Schiess has offered to make the arrangements at the Magnolia Greens Club house with a caterer she has used before. Make sure you save Sunday, January 11, 2026, for this very special event. And don’t forget we will have our Yankee gift swap.  More details to follow.

Looking forward to seeing you at our holiday dinner.

President’s Message – October 2022

I hope that everyone survived hurricane Ian and its impacts.…

President’s Message – September 2022

Is summer really almost over? As Labor Day approaches, we make plans to celebrate our last holiday of the summer season. The coming days bring later sunrises, earlier sunsets, moderating temperatures, and hopefully, lower humidity. As I have mentioned in my previous columns, we are in the peak of hurricane season here in southeast North…
