President’s Message – November 2025

Hi CFMC Members –

Where has the year gone?  A couple of months ago we were planning the club picnic and now we are rapidly approaching Thanksgiving, the Christmas season, and our annual Holiday Party.

This has been a good year for the club.  We gained six cars to our membership and almost had a trip or event every month.

The Holiday Party brings a change of officers for the club.  As President, I am finishing up the second year of the term started by Karen and Norm Abbot.  As such, it is time for the club to select a new President.  To me, this is a positive since it gives a different member the opportunity to bring new ideas to the club.  Judy and I have been in the club since we moved to Wilmington from Maryland in 2015 and the club has had three other Presidents.  To facilitate the transition, I have asked Ken Schiess and Don Wahl to participate on a nominating committee.  Our Vice President, Paul Reinmann, will join the committee when he returns from his current trip.  If you are interested in assuming the club President position (we are also looking for an Activity Chairperson), please contact Ken, Don, or Paul so you make their search easier.

I do want to say that I have enjoyed being President (and before that, Vice President) and greatly appreciate the support I have received from our club members.  By Judy and I stepping down from our positions, we hope to have time to plan other activities, especially since we had a really good time on our Back of the Dragon trip.

See you at the monthly coffee social or a future club event.

Rick Judson

The CFMC wrapped up 2018 with an enjoyable December walk around Greenfield Lake hosted by Paul and Rebecca Reinmann, followed by…

President’s Message – November 2018

As I write this, fall is finally making its appearance. Although summer is nice, it seemed as though it didn’t want to leave! The crisp, cool mornings are a welcome respite from the lingering humidity we experienced in September and most of October. We started October off with a fun trip to the Highland Games in Laurinburg and…
