Blue, Brew, and Que Festival – CANCELED due to Coronavirus

The Blue, Brew and Que Festival, originally scheduled for March 2020 at the Duplin County Events Center, has been rescheduled for Saturday August 8, 2020 from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM.  We have attended this event every year since its inception along with several CFMC members.  As of the date of this writing, the event is still scheduled.  We plan to attend this year and invite and welcome any CFMC members who are interested in joining us.  Obviously, this is highly dependent on the virus situation so this is a “tentative” event that may need to be cancelled on short notice.  You can visit the website www.bluebrewandque.com for the event lineup.  This is an open-air event where you bring your own chair for open seating with plenty of space for social distancing.  In case of rain, the event is moved inside of the Duplin County Events center which is spacious and roomy.  At past events there have been various food vendors, breweries and wineries represented as well as merchandise and craft vendors.  The event is also a sanctioned BBQ cook-off competition, so the BBQ offered is always delicious. We will keep an eye on the website to see if anything changes.  It will depend on what governmental restrictions remain in place at the time as well as our and any other members’ comfort in attending such events.  If the festival remains a go, and we feel comfortable in attending, any CFMC members who want to join us are welcome to meet us there for a day of great bluegrass, cold beer, wine, and smoked BBQ.  Stay tuned!
