President’s Message – May 2025

Hi CFMC Members –

Finally, some real top-down weather! I hope everyone can take advantage of getting out on the road with the top dropped.

Congratulations to John and Deb McLendon for planning a successful Southport Scavenger Hunt outing. Judy and I were disappointed we couldn’t attend but I heard from one of our members that a fun time was had by all. We will get one of our extremely valuable “Activity Host” hats to you the next time we see you.

Our next scheduled outing is being planned by Alice Cavin and Patrick Miller to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue. I am anxious to visit and learn more about the turtle rescue and rehabilitation program since I’ve never been there. I have been able to visit the Missiles and More Museum on Topsail Island and found it to be very interesting and well worth the visit.

So far, the club has had an event planned each month this year and we need to keep that momentum going. Thank you to those members stepping forward with activity suggestions. New suggestions are always welcome. And our coffee socials are generally well attended.

See you at a future club event.

President’s Message – January 2022

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a joyous beginning to 2022.  As we begin our 29th year of the CFMC, we continue to deal with what seems to be the never-ending threat of our old nemesis, Covid 19 and the repercussions associated with it.  The pandemic seems to have…
