President’s Message – November 2026

Hello, Cape Fear Miata Club Family!

As the golden autumn days of November settle over the southeastern coast and the crisp breeze of December starts to roll in, it’s hard to believe another incredible year with the Cape Fear Miata Club is winding down. But let’s be honest—just because the calendar flips toward winter doesn’t mean our top-down fun has to go into hibernation!

Here in coastal North Carolina, late autumn and early winter offer some of the absolute best driving weather of the entire year. The humidity breaks, the skies are bright and clear, and there is nothing quite like cruising down a backroad with crisp air, seat heaters on, and the exhaust note humming.

Cruising Forward

November and December are special months for us. They offer a wonderful mix of reflection, community, and festive celebration:

  • Scenic Fall Foliage and Coastal Runs: November is prime time for weekend scenic tours. Whether we’re winding through the country roads or heading toward the river and coastal marshes, the changing colors and peaceful roads make it a driver’s paradise. Strike out with club members and form your own trip.
  • Holiday Lights and Festive Gatherings: As December arrives, we trade our sunglasses for festive cheer! Enjoy the season as we look forward to our annual holiday party in January.

Keep the Top Down (Whenever Possible!)

Sure, the days are shorter, and the evenings demand a heavier jacket, but that’s half the charm of driving a Roadster. So, keep your batteries charged, check your tire pressures, and let’s make the most of the final months of the year together.

Thank you all for making this another fantastic year for the Cape Fear Miata Club. Your passion, friendship, and enthusiasm are what keep this club rolling year after year.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving and a joyous holiday season—and, of course, keep turning those steering wheels!

As I have mentioned in my previous columns, we are in the peak of hurricane season here in southeast North…

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable July 4th holiday.  Historically, we are in the latter half of summer.  The waning of visits and vacations and the Labor Day weekend is just a month away.  It is also important to remember that the height of hurricane season in our area runs from late August…

President’s Message – July 2022

Well, one half of 2022 is in the books.  Summer is in full swing, and our thoughts turn to warm (hot!) days, visitors (lots of them), trips to the beaches, and the other beckoning attractions in our area. But don’t forget to be prepared for our unscheduled visitors; hurricanes.  Make sure to have those preparation…
