President’s Message – September 2026

Last month I thought we were over the hump for our summer high temperatures. Well per our historical data that is still correct. However, no one can argue we are still in the heat of summer. Personally, I am thankful for the feature that rolls my windows down with a double click on the key fob.

Let’s think about cool places to visit. Send your ideas to Tom and Tim, our activities coordinators. Where would you like to go? Maybe it is a place you have seen a long time ago and would like to revisit, or one you haven’t yet experienced. Local and far, all ideas are welcomed.

With Labor Day upon us lets cruise somewhere with music blaring by an old worker advocate like; Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Woodie Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton (9 to 5) etc. If you plan an overnight, bring a copy of “The Jungle” by Upton Sinclair.

I hope we will meet at our next event.
